The check-in methods for the flight in EVA Air are as follows:

  • Check-in via web
  • Check-in using the mobile app
  • Automated check-in
  • Kiosk Check-in
  • At an airport counter

EVA Air Online check-in time

When you are flying out of a busy airport like the USA it is recommended that you enter the airport before 3 hours of the flight departure.

Complete check-in within 48 hours – 90 minutes from the time scheduled for departure.

  • If the bags are checked in then complete the check in within 1 hour from the departure time.
  • If yet to check in for bags then do it within 30 minutes from the departure.
  • The hours of operation for check-in at different counters vary at each airport, so it’s.  good to reach ahead of time for check in.

You can check-in online through Booking ID or Member ID of Infinity MileageLands.

The steps to online check in with the help of Booking ID or Ticket Number:

i) Visit EvaAir.com on the site.

ii) Tap the Online Check-In option.

iii) To find the flight, provide the following information:

  1. The ticket number, the booking reference, or the EMD number.
  2. Surname
  3. The first and middle names together.

iv) Enter the account by pressing the Login tab.

v) Choose the flight.

vi) Confirm the reservation.

The e-boarding pass will be sent to you through email.

To access the Infinity MileageLands Member:

i) Visit EvaAir.com.

ii) Select the Online Check-In option from the drop-down menu.

iii) As indicated above, pick the options “Infinity MileageLands Member or EVA Fans Login”.

iv) Next, enter the number of Infinity MileageLands or email ID, as well as the password associated with it.

v) Enter the account by pressing the Login tab.

vi) Choose the flight.

vii) Confirm the reservation.

The electronic boarding card will be sent to you through email.

Note:

  • You can select the seat but need to check in 1hour before the scheduled time or else the seat will be provided to another person.
  • Passengers leaving from the following airports can print the boarding passes themselves:
    • Taichung, Kaohsiung, and Taipei are all in Taiwan.
    • Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Macau, Chengdu, and Beijing.
    • New York, Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Toronto are all located in North America.
    • Paris, London, Amsterdam, Vienna, are all in Europe.
    • Northeast Asia: Sendai, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Okinawa, Matsuyama, Fukuoka, Sapporo.
    • Singapore, Jakarta, Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Cebu, Bangkok, Chiang Mai are all in Southeast Asia.
    • Brisbane is located in Oceania.
  • If you are not able to print the boarding card online, go to Kiosk and scan the printed confirmation and a printout of the boarding card will be provided.

Exceptions:

No print out allotted in the following cases though checked in online from the cities listed above:

  • The service is not available at the departing airport.
  • You will be unable to print your boarding card for any segment of the travel if the route contains a sector that does not offer this service.
  • You bought the ticket with a credit card non-EMV 3D-secured using phone or via online. When you check in at the counter desk for the first part of the flight, you will be asked to produce the credit card you used to purchase the ticket.

Passengers who are not eligible to check-in online

  • The reservation has not been confirmed.
  • You have an unconfirmed reservation.
  • You have a paper visa and are visiting the United States.
  • If you require medical or special care.
  • You are touring with a group of ten or more people on a single reservation.
  • You have booked a chartered flight.
  • Unaccompanied minor.
  • You will be required to pay an extra fare or tax.
  • You have upgraded the reservation.
  • You are taking a trip with a baby.

EVA Air check in policy using Mobile App

The scheduled flight for app check-in starts from 48 hours – to 90 minutes prior to the departure.

  • Check the bags one hour from the flight departure if already checked baggage.
  • Head to check in 30 minutes from the scheduled time for departure if not holding checked luggage with a printed boarding card.

Check-in Procedures

For baggage check-in with the mobile app, you need to log in to the account by providing relevant information and go through the instructions as shown on the screen. After the system checks the login information, you will get the mobile boarding card. You can save the boarding permit in the device and present it at the counter check-in and the boarding gate.

The following things you can do with the mobile app:

  • View the travel plans.
  • Find and book flights.
  • The flight may be changed or cancelled.
  • Check the status of the flight and plan the trip
    • Choose a meal.
    • Choose or switch seats.
    • Make a special request.
    • Purchase extra luggage in advance.
    • Make a note of your trip on the calendar.
  • Check-in over the internet
  • Obtain a boarding pass
  • Real-time notifications will be sent to you
  • Manage the MileageLand account and take advantage of special offers, discounts, and other benefits.

Keep the following in mind while utilizing an electronic boarding pass:

  • Save the boarding card to EVA Mobile’s My Pass, Google Play or Apple Wallet. In case you save the pass to My Pass, then it will be deleted after 14 days.
  • Arrive at the boarding gate 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
  • Bring the travel documentation with you.
  • Proceed to the counter for check in and get the baggage claim slip if you have checked bags.

How to check in automatically at EVA Air

Passengers using automated service to check in will be checked in automatically 12 hours prior to departure, and also get an EVA AIR Completion Notice for Check-in via email.

The boarding pass can be obtained in one of the following manners:

  • Online or via the smartphone app using the URL furnished in the mail of EVA AIR Checked-in Completion Notice.
  • Kiosk at the airport
  • Airport counter

Conditions for Automated Check-in

  • Flying on an international flight operated by EVA Air or UNI Air.
  • On the way back, the passport reader scanned the travel paperwork.
  • The seat has been reserved for you.
  • You have a confirmed reservation.
  • You are in possession of an e-ticket.
  • No specific request made.

Note:

  • If you don’t check the bags before the limit of one hour, the seat will be given to somebody else.
  • The hours of operation for check-in counters vary at each airport, so head to the airport ahead of time.

How can I check in at Kiosk for EVA Air

Starting from 5 a.m. – 1 hour prior to the departure, you can check-in at Kiosk. If you are traveling with checked luggage, make sure to check in the bag(s) for 1 hour prior to departure, or you might risk losing the seat.

At the following airports, Kiosk services are available:

  • Bag Tag Printing Service
    • Heathrow Airport is located in London, United Kingdom.
    • Kansai Airport is located in Kansai, Japan.
    • Narita Airport is located in Tokyo, Japan.
  • Kiosks without a printing service for bag tags

  • Haneda Airport in Tokyo,

Kiosk services are currently inaccessible at most airports due to the pandemic COVID-19, with the exception of the following:

  • Seattle International Airport is located in Seattle, Washington.

  • Haneda Airport is located in Tokyo, Japan.

You can also do the following when checking in at the Kiosk:

  • You have the option to change or confirm the seat.
  • Upgrade to a better seat selection.
  • Toss in some bags
  • Label the bags yourself.
  • Keep track of the miles.

After checking in at a kiosk, you’ll need to:

  • The boarding pass will be printed for you.
  • Acquire the bag tags.

Check-in using Kiosks with Hello Kitty

EVA Air’s specialized Hello Kitty kiosks are located in Terminal 2 of Taoyuan International Airport. Passengers aboard EVA Air’s new Hello Kitty jets can use these kiosks on all itineraries except to and from Paris and Houston.

To use the kiosk at the airport, follow these steps:

I. Choose EVA Airways from the homepage.

II. Ascertain that you will not be taking any forbidden items onto the plane.

III. Choose the passenger’s numbers that will be checking in at the same time.

IV. Take out the reservation and place the passport in the reader.

V. You can look for the reservation using any of the methods below:

  • Scan the barcode or QR code on the e-ticket receipt, web check-in boarding card, or APP QR code reader boarding pass.
  • Type the Booking ID.
  • Enter the e-ticket number.
  • Fill in the membership number with Infinity MileageLands.
    • Place the membership card in the slot, or
    • Scan the QR code.

VI. Fill in the requested data based on the options you choose above.

VII. Tap the Update option to enter the mileage.

VIII. To switch seats, use the Change Seat option.

IX. Pick the passenger who wants to check-in the bags and touch the Confirm tab if no checked baggage is selected, click on the No Checked Baggage option.

X. For each passenger, select the quantity of checked bags.

XI. Gather all of the bag tags.

XII. Obtain the boarding pass as well as the lounge invitation card.

XIII. Head to the boarding gate after reviewing the information.

You are ineligible to Check-in at a Kiosk

  • You have an unconfirmed reservation.
  • You do not have a digital ticket.
  • If you require special care.
  • You are a minor who isn’t accompanied by an adult.
  • Taking a trip with a baby, below the age of 2.
  • There are more than two connecting flights on the itinerary.

EVA Air check-in at the counter of the Airport:

  • If going from a large airport with rigorous regulations, such as one in the United States, arrive 3 hours before the departure.
  • If you’re an unaccompanied minor, deaf, blind, or crippled, use a walker or wheelchair, or require assistance with checking in and pre-boarding procedures, arrive 2 hours before the departure.
  • In all other circumstances, arrive 90 minutes before the departure.

You will be asked to produce the following documents at the check-in counter:

Air Ticket EVA

  • A valid airline ticket is required.
  • It shouldn’t have been mutilated in the first place.
  • It must correspond to your reservation.

Documents for Travel

  • legitimate.
  • Documentation for entry, exit, and transportation.

You may not be allowed to board the flight if you do not match the documentation criteria.

Baggage restrictions

  • Ensure that the luggage is properly titled and tagged.
  • Check that the carry-on luggage meets EVA’s flight safety and security requirements.

After you have checked in, make sure to:

  • Check that all of the information on the boarding card is correct, including the name, flight number, and the destination.
  • Make sure the luggage is properly labelled and that you have all of the baggage receipts.
  • Verify that the tickets and documents for travel have been delivered to you.
  • Complete the remaining formalities, such as:
    • Checks for security
    • Payment of airport taxes and charges for the service, among other things
    • Arrive at the boarding gate 30 minutes prior to departure.
